One or more of our teammates have participated in the following examples of creative & public health cross-sector program design and delivery efforts:

Master Watershed Stewards

Based on the premise that there will always be a shortage of professional staff to protect watersheds and safe drinking water, this project incorporated the creative sector into civic engagement efforts to build a network of trained stewards to support efforts to protect natural resources within their watershed address.

Creative Kids Block Parties

During the pandemic and building upon the format of the National Night Out community-building campaign, teaching artists took the streets in partnership with Neighborhood Associations. Following COVID-safety recommendations from the CDC, arts & crafts activities, mini-performances, creative movement, and drama activities engaged young children and their families using themes of gardens, discovery, and connection.

Positively Arts

A therapeutic, multi-arts approach with outcome-based activities to reach program goals for adults with mental illness, youth in juvenile justice programs, and school readiness for at-risk preschoolers.  This project partnered closely with social workers and early childhood professionals to design and deliver effective programming.

The Remember Project

With a focus on compassionate, community-based conversations, this project demonstrates the power of using the arts to open hearts and heads to difficult topics such as the fear, stigma and isolation of dementia.  This project worked with professionals in the field of aging to design a format for live and virtual programming to raise awareness and plan locally for dementia-capable communities.
